Originally set to be released in a limited run of 3000 copies, though 600 copies were mistakenly made with CD-Rs instead of properly pressed CDs while others received sets with 2 of the same CD, albeit with the differing CD labels erroneously indicating the proper 2 CDs. Customers who received the defective product were offered replacements without having to return their original, incorrect copies. La-La Land Records issued a statement indicating this error has been rectified and is no longer an issue.

Tracks 1-2 through 1-11 are in stereo and have been previously released on vinyl LP in France and several countries in South America in 1984 and in Mexico in 1985. Track 2-58 is also in stereo and was included on the French 14-track 2012 CD release as well as the 2012 11-track US CD release (which was only available as a bonus item with Mill Creek's 30th Anniversary Limited Edition 22-DVD box set). All other tracks are in mono.

Tracks 2-46 through 2-51 (from the Bonus Tracks section on disc 2) all have alternate endings from the prior versions appearing on this release and are labelled in the booklet with "(alternate ending)" next to each track.

Tracks 2-52 through 2-57 (from the Bonus Tracks section on disc 2) are mono versions of some of the stereo tracks from disc 1 and are labelled in the booklet with "(mono)" next to each track.

Tracks 2-54 and 2-57 have slightly longer intros than the stereo versions from disc 1 but no mention is made of this other than the minor difference in track length listings.
