Ritmia were one of those unclassifiable Italian cross-over folk outfits, like Canzionere Del Lazio, Aktuala or Zeit, that bridged so many genres that some people called it unfolk - i.e. too avant-garde and/or experimental to be true traditional music of any sort. Of course that's not to say that Ritmia weren't all folkies, and they had a a good deal of melody, twisted jigs and Mediterranean flavours all mixed in to their musical stew.The La Ciapa Rusa original is said to be just a 500 pressing which was soon followed by the Robi Droli one, also now rare for over 20 years.
