I picked this up for a song and was about to list it for sale but it played through twice on repeat in the CD carousel in the interim and I fell in love :) Superb blend of alt-country and subdued indie pop, with heady, bittersweet lyrics and charming song compositions (the measured yet vibrant guitar flourishes are especially engaging). Polished, mature sound that's soaked in humility rather than hubris, with lovely cameos of violin and mandolin on two tracks :)Fans of Freakwater, Lullabye for the Working Class, The Jayhawks and Drive By Truckers, do yourself a favor and pick this up quick so you can settle in and relax....
