I've got the NovaMute version, which is essentially the same. Essential listening for sure! This album displays what the genre of techno was all about in 1992 and '93 - which was an unexplored universe of sonic possibilities. This album covers a few galaxies that no others covered, and likewise was only a fractional portion of what was out then and what was to come. The golden age of techno. I miss those days! Techno was new, fresh, exciting and I really didn't have much to complain about in the underground scenes of techno, but the commercial Hi-NRG and "New York club sounds" were rather ridiculous and un-essential! Thank God for Tresor Records and NovaMute (especially in '93) to bring us these cosmic tracks!

This is not only a great piece of techno history, but it makes for some excellent listening too! These are very introspective and exceedingly innovative tracks. I know techno comes down to opinions, but I believe this would be universally recognized for how groundbreaking it really was. The electronics are unique and it follows no typical techno formula, which is what makes it so great. You must check this one out if you want to hear a little something different in techno music. Since the days when this one came out, techno has lost the edge that releases such as this one had. This is tops in most techno afficianados' books! Definitely check it out!

This record is awesome: it features juan atkins himself, maurizio & thomas felhamm from the orb and sun electric... + the sleeve art was done by the designers republic i got my copy circa 1994, it was discounted because it was not so "dancy". on the other hand, it sounds acid at certain times, then just moody, and the melodies and rhythms are always innovative. it is well deserved that tresor re-issued it a few years ago!
