ooooh man these are some seriously neglected tunes, it breaks my heart..... cuz its a good piece to have in the collection, "the sound" has a really nice dark sounding atonal synth pad, nice crisp highs, hats etc, & a clean arrangement of drums, gritty catchy reese-esq bass on the drop, builds down into breaks & bass and some fx into a lone high pitched string pad, then it fades away. dont forget "the sound" vocal sample hence the name of the track, only shows it self a handful of times as the song progresses. dont listen too loud you will fatigue your ears( and thats not a bad thing , its just too good!) AA "commander belt" has a more melodic intro, with a horn section and synthpad, good break work. Radio chatter vocals "how's it going out there?" and "there's something out here...." "its coming at me!" skanking tune, massive addictive sub bass, piercing drum breaks, cymbals, pan sweeping synth....you definitely feel this one....Once again a must have if you are a fan of the genre. seems like this label in general is criminally neglected on discogs.. hidden gem here
