This series is best identified by its catalog numbers, which begin with AS, ASD, ASF or ASZ, and are usually alternate mixes (labeled "Special Disco Version") than the normal single versions released on 12" promotional release, as the format was at the time in its infancy. Certain early releases have a distinctive red inner dust sleeve denoting "Columbia Records Disco Series," and some early releases' center labels are marked "Columbia Disco Series."Please use this series for the historic promotional disco mix records released on Columbia and allied CBS labels between 1975-1980 only.
