caster
In the chorus of "The Fan", Melanie Andrews' vocal notes that "Sidney calls this dance 'the Fan!'". This is likely a reference to Sidney Burton, an important Boston studio fixture of this era with many local credits and a long association with Boston International (Starr/Jonzun).
SiIеnt
"Can you feel this groove, Do it if you can, The temperature is hot, Fan!" This is a completely unknown classic. The kind of track that makes you think "How do I have no idea what this is?", and it'll have you singing along by the end, the first time you hear it. Supposedly recorded live in Mexico City, but I wouldn't be surprised if the crowd sounds at the beginning and end are actually over dubs. Big energy, but not too fast, with a great groove and wonderfully stupid lyrics. I wish I knew how to do the fan.
