yeah, I picked up what seems like now a very reasonably priced set last summer from Russia. Perfect, sealed, mint condition with all the exact packaging details as others as seen on youtube. cheapest ones seem to be going for over 100 more now 6 months later

The reason they're available in Russia is because they still haven't sold out there. There are no fake box sets. These are not CD's. :)

Finally tracked down this vinyl box set locally. It is worthy of all the praise it has gotten, perhaps a bit more. I doubt that these albums will EVER be done with the care and attention to detail and all analog again. You need this if you are a Beatles and or a fan of great vinyl records.

Obviously, the eye is served here! Most of the time that means there is a cobra under the grass. And before i spent 300 bucks: what is the source? Did they use another MP3 or other digital source? How did they master the originals onto acetate?

there is a lot of info on this set.unlike most other reissues you can find out about the manufacturing chain.the mono set is all analog from the original UK masterror tapes to the vinyl.

The original mono master tape for Please Please Me was fine but the glue on the leader tape and splices on the tape were shedding. Rather then risk using it to cut a lacquer they made an analog tape copy and used this to cut the record. This set is all analog.

The original master tapes were used with an all analog chain in the mastering process except for the first album That master tape is simply not in good enough condition to be used so they had no choice but to use a new digital master. Fortunately it is very well documented.

There is a very rare Japanese version for this vinyl box set, it had a limited run of 500 boxes assembled with a giant green OBI and a 50 page booklet. The Stereo Box Set also has a limited Japanese edition (1000 pieces were assembled).I own a copy that I purchased on eBay from Japan. The distributor there who sold me the set, told me about the history and assemblage of both the Stereo and Mono vinyl box sets. The sets were made in Europe/Germany, then exported to Japan, where they were repackaged and assembled with an OBI and booklet specifically for the Japanese marketplace. He told me that the Mono box sets basically sold out in less than a week. The last time I looked on eBay about a year ago, there were only two Japanese Stereo box sets left listed for over $1000 a piece.

A mono UK set game-changer in A/A/A. Gorgeous fidelity and dead quiet, lovely flat, thick, shiny vinyl Lps. Remarkable craftsmanship and quality control. Beautiful reproductions from the flipback covers to the disc labels, and well bound hardcover book... Comparable to any pressing overall. Finally they listened to us, and delivered this one spot on!

The flip-back covers, original replicas of the vinyl jackets (just love the "Magical Mystery Tour" cover!) and the kick ass production and mstering of this vinyl is EXQUISITE, totally SUPER! I got my copy, thinking about buying another one for collectors purposes. Guys, this is a must have!
